This one was different for me…for one thing, I’ve known the groom’s family for years, one of our children were classmates, and we shared many room mother-ly times together. I also have wonderful memories of the last owner of the home where Crystal and Trevor were married- a beautiful, sophisticated lady if there ever was one. I had done some photography for her several years ago and her style and poise were something I’ve never forgotten. Consequently, I knew the property well and one family enough to know that this was not going to be any “ordinary” wedding.
Sure enough, with some luck from the weather gods, the day was perfect, the company was special and the couple’s obvious joy at marrying each other brought everything together nicely. First, Crystal’s dress- I literally gasped when I saw it- such a perfect dress for a bride with its lace detailing and full skirt. And it fit her to a “t”! And Trevor, wearing his light linen suit and sporting a monogrammed bowtie, well, I can definitely say he and his groomsmen were rockin’ the look!
With the Wye River providing a lovely background, the ceremony couldn’t have been prettier. And, if you look at the photos, friends and family were all present to cheer the new Mr. and Mrs.!
Then, after the obligatory group shots, I had Crystal and Trevor to myself for some romantic couples photos. I love the ones in the lane and even later in the evening, the one with the time exposure heart!
I probably shouldn’t say what a great time I had as I was working and that’s supposed to be serious, right??!! Well, I did have a great time and it was very special to me that these wonderful families chose me to share their day with. I was honored to be even a small part of this fabulous celebration.
I wish Crystal and Trevor the best of marriages and thank them (and their families) for having me.
