Ashley and Jay’s wonderful early-fall wedding at The Oaks Waterfront Inn was all smiles. At least, that’s how I remember it. I know that pretty much every wedding can be described that way but there was just something different about theirs. Something sweet, something deeply meaningful. After getting into their wedding finery, they met in front of the old painted barns at The Oaks for their First Look. Something about that moment, for me, was gentle and tender. The way they looked at each other, the slightest of touches. Anyway, I loved it! After we did some fun couple portraits around the Inn, their families along with the wedding party joined in for group formals. Look at their mother’s faces in this post and tell me you aren’t smiling!
Don’t I just love the purple bridesmaids dresses?? Yes, I do! And the flowers by Amy at Monteray Farms that enhanced the dresses, well, I was truly smitten with Ashley’s style choices. After a lovely waterside ceremony out on the Point, the couple, their friends and family enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres beside the Inn’s dock before moving into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. Congratulations Ashley and Jay!
